Launch a half-baked personal website

A lot of the resistance that keeps people from having their own personal space on the internet is the fact that it takes work to create such a space. Furthermore, there's a culture with most creative work that says you should get something finished before you release it into the world. I don't agree with this.

Instead, I think you should launch a half-baked personal website. If you launch one that you think is "finished" (good luck with that), then you're more likely to never touch it again. I'm a proponent of making incremental process on a personal website. I try to make a small adjustment or addition to mine several times a month. Over time, this work accrues to something you can be proud of.

But if you wait to make your own space until you have the time to do something fully baked, you'll likely never get around to it.

Go half-baked.
